YOUR QUESTIONS
This section is for your questions, concerns and to finally have clear answers.
Veterinary costs can go up quickly when your dog gets sick. It is not everyone who can bear these exorbitant sometimes fees. In some cases, euthanasia becomes a solution for lack of financial resources. In the case of Pancreatic Exocrine insufficiency, still today, many veterinarians do not know this disease well.
You have questions ?
So in these cases, several tests are done to diagnose the disorder of your dog but without really being successful. The purpose of this Blog is not to make a smear campaign against veterinarians. Several Veterinarians do very good work. But it is for Mr. and Mrs. X who do not have the means to take the treatment offered by their veterinarian. To have alternatives to your dog’s treatments at a lower cost and just as effective. Choose another alternative than euthanasia and know that your dog can continue to live with you for a long time without breaking the bank.
Here we do not sell enzymes or antibiotics or anything. This blog is only there to answer your questions and help you and your pet find solutions and alternatives that will allow you to keep your dog. Links on cheaper alternatives on the treatment of your Coco or Cocotte d’amore.
A new Veterinary Section is currently under construction. EPI disease is not a very well-known disease. Unfortunately, many veterinarians simply do not know it. With the new veterinary section, you will be able to refer your veterinarian to this section so that they can read it. We do not replace your veterinarian, but we help you to orient him towards the adequate tests to give your dog all the chances on his side.

What would be an alternative to pankaid? We have a dog in our rescue (Sit With Me) with EPI and Pank aid is sold out everywhere. If you can email us with your suggestions, that would be so helpful.

Hi Laura
invite you to visit our website in the Links section. You will find there enzymes like Diane enzymes that cost in the end between 1/3 to 1/4 of the price of Pank Aid : https://epidogs-canada.org/links
Thanks
Is it possible that a dog with existing food allergies (jindo South Korean breed often allergic to chicken and sensitive to other proteins – skin flare ups, hot spots, itchy) should NOT use Pank Aid since sourced from porcine ?
In rare cases, there are dogs that are less tolerant of pork enzymes. If your dog is one of these cases, there are beef enzymes that have a lower enzyme concentration but can be used. I invite you to discuss with your veterinarian if this could be a solution for your dog.
Our package of Pancreatic Enzymes ordered from Enzyme Diane was rejected by Health Canada and denied entry to Canada. Have regulations changed ? Is there a place we can order pancreatic enzymes for our dog in Canada? The cost of purchasing this product from our vet is 4 times the amount it would cost to order directly from the supplier ( 3400 dollars a year for a medium sized dog.
You can use this enzyme also for EPI dogs. It contains about 90 doses for 58$ USD. In addition, if you use this promo code: EPIQUEBEC or IPEQUEBEC you will get a 15% discount on your purchase.

I have also just recently had my package from Pan-Tenex denied entry into Canada, just 2 months after my last shipment. Have the regulations changed? Does Wonder Labs ship from the U.S. – being that it’s in American Funds?
I have a full bottle of Viokace 20,880 Lipase units that I had left over when I changed over to Enzyme Diane. Will not be using. Is there a rescue or anyone who is currently using this medication who needs it? Expires 04/2023. Would rather see someone make use of it than throw it out…..
My boy has been diagnosed with EPI.. we have had him on prescription enzymes for 8 months & he still doesn’t have solid poops and struggles to gain weight.. we get biweekly B12 injections at the veterinarian & have been following all advise given… I am desperately looking for help to get him on a enzyme treatment that works!!!
Please any help would be so much appreciated!
Thank you
What type of enzymes do you use? What breed of dog do you have?
